What is SPECIFiSPACE?
SPECIFiSPACE is a product specification management tool built for architects, interior designers, and contractors. It replaces messy Excel files and WhatsApp threads with a clean, organised platform where you can store, compare, and export product specs. You can manage your entire product catalog, create project-based spec lists, and produce professional spec sheets — all in one place.
Who is SPECIFiSPACE built for?
SPECIFiSPACE is designed for architects, interior designers, and contractors — especially those working on commercial and residential projects in Singapore and Southeast Asia. It's equally useful for sole practitioners managing their own projects and small design studios coordinating specifications across multiple jobs. If you regularly deal with product selections, supplier quotes, and spec documentation, SPECIFiSPACE was built for you.
How do architects currently manage product specifications without SPECIFiSPACE?
Most designers rely on a combination of Excel spreadsheets, WhatsApp messages to suppliers, email threads, and PowerPoint slides to manage their specifications. This approach is fragile — files get out of sync, attachments get lost, and there is no single source of truth. SPECIFiSPACE replaces all of that with a centralised, searchable product catalog that stays current across your entire project.
Can I import product specs directly from a supplier website?
Yes. The AI import tool lets you paste any supplier product URL and automatically extracts the product name, brand, item code, price, specifications, and main image. It works with most Singapore supplier websites including tile, carpet, furniture, and lighting suppliers. You can review and edit all extracted data before saving it to your catalog.
Can I import specs from a PDF?
Yes. You can upload a PDF product datasheet and SPECIFiSPACE will extract the key specification fields automatically using AI. Free accounts include 5 PDF imports per month; Pro accounts have no monthly limit. The extracted data is always editable before it is saved to your catalog.
What happens to my old Excel spec sheets?
Your existing Excel files can serve as a reference while you migrate products into SPECIFiSPACE. Currently there is no bulk import from Excel, but you can add products one at a time using the manual form or the AI import tool. Once your catalog is in SPECIFiSPACE, you can export it back to Excel at any time.
How is SPECIFiSPACE different from Excel or PowerPoint?
Excel and PowerPoint require manual formatting, have no image management, and are difficult to search or filter at scale. SPECIFiSPACE is purpose-built for product specifications — it stores images alongside specs, lets you compare alternatives side by side, generates print-ready spec sheets automatically, and connects directly to AI import so you are not manually typing supplier data. It is also always accessible from any device without opening a file.
How do I compare alternative products?
On any product page, click Alternatives to assign up to 5 alternative products from your catalog. Then click Compare to see a side-by-side table showing price, specs, images, and key differences. Free accounts can compare up to 3 products at once; Pro accounts can compare up to 6. The comparison view can also be exported to Excel for sharing with clients or consultants.
Can I export my specs to Excel or PDF?
Yes. You can export any product or list of products to a CSV/Excel file with one click from the comparison view. For PDF, each product has a dedicated spec sheet page that is formatted as a clean A4 document ready for printing or client submission — just use your browser's print function. Both features are available on Pro accounts.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. Your products, projects, and specifications are private to your account and are never shared with other users or third parties. SPECIFiSPACE uses Supabase for data storage, which enforces row-level security so only your authenticated account can read or modify your data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
How many products can I manage for free?
Free accounts can manage up to 50 products and 1 active project. This is enough to get started on a small project or evaluate the full platform before committing. If you need more, Pro accounts have no product or project limits.
Can I use SPECIFiSPACE for multiple projects?
Yes. You can create projects and assign products to them, making it easy to keep specifications organised across multiple jobs at the same time. Free accounts are limited to 1 active project; Pro accounts support unlimited projects. Each project shows all its assigned products, linked suppliers, and a running cost summary.
Do you support Singapore suppliers?
Yes. SPECIFiSPACE includes a built-in directory of over 100 Singapore-based material suppliers across categories including tiles, carpet, vinyl flooring, wallpaper, paint, bathroom fittings, furniture, lighting, and more. You can browse by category, filter by product type, and copy contact details directly from the directory.
Can my whole team use SPECIFiSPACE?
Currently SPECIFiSPACE is single-user — each account belongs to one person. Team and multi-user features are in development and will be available in a future Teams plan. If you are interested in early access for your studio or firm, email gjay@specifi.space and we will keep you updated.
How much does SPECIFiSPACE cost?
SPECIFiSPACE is free to start — no credit card required. The Free plan includes 50 products, 1 project, and access to the Singapore supplier directory. Pro costs $25 per month and unlocks unlimited products, unlimited projects, AI spec import from any URL, category spec templates, Excel export, and up to 6 product comparisons. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time.
