Bolon

Bolon is a Swedish design company founded in 1949 in Stockholm by Nils-Erik Eklund, now led by third-generation family directors Annica and Marie Eklund, recognized as the inventor of woven vinyl flooring. What began as rag rugs made from textile waste evolved into signature wall-to-wall woven vinyl flooring introduced in 1993, produced at the company's Ulricehamn, Sweden factory using jacquard looms capable of hundreds of pattern combinations. Bolon flooring is climate-neutral, ISO 14001 certified since 1999, and manufactured using an in-house recycling facility that reclaims vinyl waste into product backing. The brand is used globally by luxury clients including Chanel, Armani, and Sheraton, and is designed for high-traffic public spaces such as hotels, offices, and retail.
